Mitron - A series funded startup in short video making app developed by two friends turned co-founders Shivank Agarwal and Anish Khandelwal, Mitron clocked over 35 million downloads on Google Play Store within a month. Built over the last few months by the duo, the app quickly rose to fame. Hailed as India's answer to Chinese company ByteDance-owned TikTok, Mitron's popularity could mainly be a result of recent controversies around 'objectionable content' on the former. Millions of Indians were uninstalling TikTok, and chose Mitron instead.
