Overview
As a Motion Graphic Designer, you will be a part of the team building the next generation of best-in-class casual mobile gaming experiences. You will work closely with key stakeholders in the organisation to create engaging motion graphics and visual effects for our games. This role requires a combination of creative and technical skills, along with a deep understanding of the gaming industry.
What will be your key responsibilities?
As a key member of the Product Design team, you will be working closely on designing a variety of visual formats such as motion graphics, 2D Animations, GIFs, visual fx and Lottie animations. You will work closely with game designers, developers, and other artists to create visually stunning and engaging animations. Your specific responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
Must-Have:
- Create high-quality motion graphics and animations: Design and produce motion graphics for in-game content, promotional materials and other required assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with designers, developers, and product teams to ensure that motion graphics align with the overall vision and aesthetics of the game.
- Conceptualize and storyboard: Develop concepts, storyboards and prototypes for new animations and effects.
- Optimize animations for performance: Ensure that all motion graphics are optimized for various platforms and perform well.
- Stay updated with industry trends: Keep up with the latest trends and technologies in motion graphics and the gaming industry to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the team.
- Passion for games is a must.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset, embrace diverse perspectives, and be open to both giving and receiving constructive feedback.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
- 2+ years of experience in motion graphics design, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics and animation work.
- Excellent sense of timing, motion and visual storytelling.
- Curiosity about games and gamers, their behaviour and how they interact with mobile/digital products.
-Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, and other relevant software.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity is a plus.
- Most importantly, an extremely positive "Can Do" attitude which continuously drives you to take initiative and demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation.
- Strong team player and collaboration skills.
