Role Overview:

- Zell Education is seeking a dynamic and results-driven AVP/VP - Inside Sales. This leadership role involves not only setting up and executing sales strategies but also taking full ownership of the P&L for new products and projects.


- The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of business acumen and sales expertise, with the responsibility to build and lead a team, manage costs, and deliver on both topline and bottom line growth.


- The role requires deep product understanding, market research, and collaboration with industry experts to align products with market needs. This is a high-impact role where the candidate will act like a mini-business unit, driving revenue and success independently while working closely with the existing Zell teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. P&L Management:

- Take full responsibility for the P&L of new products and projects, ensuring profitability through careful management of costs, revenues, and overall business operations.

- Deliver on both topline (revenue growth) and bottom line (cost control and profitability) goals for new initiatives.

- Strategize and manage financial resources to maximize business outcomes, adjusting plans based on performance.

2. Team Building & Leadership:

- Build and manage a high-performing sales team for new projects/products.

- Identify, hire, and onboard talented sales professionals, creating a cohesive and efficient unit.

- Mentor, train, and provide ongoing leadership to ensure the team is aligned with business goals and motivated to achieve targets.

3. Market & Product Research:

- Gain in-depth knowledge of the new product(s) through research, discussions with industry experts, and customer feedback.

- Stay updated on market trends, competition, and customer demands to refine the product offering and sales approach.

- Work closely with the product team to ensure the product aligns with market needs and opportunities.

4. Customer Persona Development:

- Develop detailed customer personas and profiles to ensure targeted sales strategies.

- Understand customer needs and tailor messaging to effectively address their pain points and aspirations.

- Use these insights to refine sales pitches, marketing strategies, and lead generation efforts.

5. Lead Generation & Market Interest:

- Drive proactive lead generation and customer acquisition strategies, using your own activities to source and convert leads.

- Generate interest in the market by creating awareness, building relationships, and nurturing leads through the sales pipeline.

- While collaborating with existing Zell teams, operate with autonomy to drive efforts for new products, creating a sense of ownership and accountability.

6. Sales Strategy & Execution:

- Create and execute sales strategies for new products, ensuring the delivery of consistent sales results.

- Establish and streamline sales processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with the company's growth trajectory.

- Build a strong sales pipeline by targeting key segments, identifying opportunities, and converting leads into clients

7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.

- Provide valuable feedback to the product team based on customer insights, helping to drive continuous product improvement.

- Ensure the successful integration of new products into the company's overall sales strategy.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Educational Qualification: A degree from a reputed college, preferably in Business, Marketing, or related fields.

Experience:

- 8-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of setting up sales processes, driving revenue, and achieving targets.

- Proven experience managing P&L and delivering revenue growth in a new product launch environment.

- Strong understanding of sales cycles, customer acquisition, and market dynamics.

- Experience in startup environments is a plus.
