WizIQ - Executive/Senior Executive - Content Writer (2-5 yrs)
Job Description: Content Writer
WizIQ Marketing Team seeks an experienced marketing copywriter to develop compelling content that attracts more eyeballs and increases qualified leads. The desired candidate should have extensive experience in creating marketing content that explains concepts and technologies within the online advertising and/or software solutions spaces.
Job Responsibilities:
- Write compelling marketing content to engage audience and educate them about the product through - case studies, white papers, press releases, email copies, blog posts, landing pages, newsletters and other marketing campaign copies.
- Drive blog program by inviting influencers and customers to write thought provoking blog content.
- Synthesize and evaluate other writers work (influencers and product users) and articulate feedback to ensure desired outcomes.
- Use social media channel to drive traffic towards WizIQ blog.
- Interact with customers for inputs to write compelling content on their experience of using the product
- Work closely with designers, articulate your vision and help them deliver the desired outcome.
Job Requirements:
- MA in English, Journalism, Advertising or an MBA
- 2-4 years of experience as a marketing copywriter
- Experienced in optimizing content for SEO
- Experienced in optimizing content for social media channels such as facebook, twitter, instagram, google+.
- Ability to visualize written content in form of infographics, videos and presentations and work with the designers to replicate it
- Knowledge of websites, designs and wordpress is a plus
- Copywriting experience for cloud or technology products is a plus
- Experience in running a blog is a plus
Writing and Language Skills:
A writer must have the following writing skills:
- an excellent command of written English, and literary skills and devices
- ability to understand contexts, and innovate and visualize according to the context provided
- creativity and an 'original voice'
Management Skills:
Along with writing tasks, the content writer is expected to co-ordinate and work with a team. For the same, the following skills are required:
- Requires work with others in a group or team
- Ability to instruct and teach others with respect to the content demands of the company.
- the ability to work with tight deadlines
Computer savvy
- Knowledge of websites and designs
- HTML language
- Knowledge of wordpress
Editorial Skills
- Ability to synthesize and evaluate a given piece of work, and articulate feedback to ensure desired outcomes
- Continuously raise the bar and yet ensure consistent and standardised delivery of articles / written material
