Job Role
Branch Manager, responsible for overseeing and driving the Trade Distribution Sales operations within the assigned territory. The role involves driving the sales strategies with excellent leadership and sales management abilities, increase market size and achieve revenue targets.
Work Responsibilities
1. Business Development:
- Identifying the potential partners and markets to expand the territory.
- Targeting, screening, and profiling current channel partners for potential opportunities.
- Forming new strategic alliances with financially strong and reliable channel partners for new and better market penetration.
2. Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Defining the sales strategies in accordance with the market trends, monitoring the competitor activities and understanding the customer needs
- Planning the annual operating budget in accordance with yearly, quarterly, and monthly basis.
- Planning the sales calendar of different categories in accordance with regional festivities and seasonal factor.
- Develop and implement effective trade sales strategies to achieve revenue within the assigned territory/zone.
- Identifying and creating brand promotion activities in accordance with market demand and competition. ensuring optimal results at the lowest possible cost.
3. P&L Management:
- Develop and manage the branch's sales budget, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Budgeting the operational expenditure for the geography and distributor and dealer in accordance with the existing and new counters.
- Conducting regular reviews and exchanging the best practices for distribution and dealer for POS profitability.
- Identifying the underperforming counters for the closure calls.
4. Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day trade sales operations, including order processing, inventory management, and logistics.
- Conducting regular reviews and audit of SOPs to improve the operational efficiency.
5. Team Management:
- Assigning targets to individual level and managing the team to achieve the targets.
- Assigning the KRAs to individual in accordance with business objectives.
- Daily, Weekly Reviewing the sales, collections, displays, and other activities are conducted to verify that proper tracking is being done.
- Conducting the training on product, sales, display, scheme, grievance handling etc. to ensure team's professional and personal growth.
- Assisting the individual to maintain the strong relationships with partners.
Qualifications & Skills
Education Qualifications:
- Master's in business administration or related field.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 7-10yrs experience in Distribution / General Trade/ Channel Sales / FMCD trade.
- Should have diversified Trade Distribution Sales in network expansion.
Other Requirements:
- This is a frontline field sales job and will require extensive travel intra and intercity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on driving results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good Execution skills.
