Job Role : Sales Executive
Position Summary :
- Sales Executives primarily identify new business opportunities and bring in new clients through extensive market research to help business grow.
- It requires analysing who the potential clients could be for a B2B company through deep understanding of the company, the business, clients and competitors. It involves careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business, position or reputation in some way.
Primary Responsibilities :
1. Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
2. Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation, and generate leads and cold call/mail prospective customers
3. Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them
4. Establish rapport with the clients and arrange meetings
5. Foster and develop relationships with the clients
6. Understand the needs of the clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
7. Draw up quotations and proposals for clients
8. Keep following up with the leads to establish a robust relationship with potential/ onboarded clients
9. Client acquisition and onboarding process
10. Develop promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
11. Liaise with the finance team, warehousing and logistics departments as appropriate
12. Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
13. Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes
14. Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
Qualifications/Experience Required :
1. A graduate degree with 1-4 years of experience in a sales/business development role in a B2B Company
2. Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
3. An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
4. Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
5. Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
6. Team Working skills and a collaborative approach to work
7. Decision-making skills with ability to strategize and execute independently.
8. The ability to multitask and prioritise the workload
9. Project management organisational allied with negotiating skills
10. The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
11. A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
12. Initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.
