Position Profile :

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated, and creative individual to play a pivotal role in the growth of a leading NGO working in the field of education.

Responsibilities :

Strategy and Planning :

- Lead the fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve proposed and agreed upon targets across the range of funding streams

- Support the Director, lead the development of any long-term funding strategy to achieve agreed long term organisational goals

- Identify new potential funding streams and develop and implement strategies to access these funds

Fund Raising :

- Oversee the management of donors, both corporate and individual, from all perspectives to build long term relationships and also to direct the overall funding programme

- Ensuring making of effective, high quality proposals and reports

- Lead the Individual Donor development plan which includes

- Development of new donors

- Lead and action on development of new funding streams

- Develop and maintain effective support journeys for the development of relationships and retention

- To prepare regular management information reports in respect of all aspects of the organisation's fundraising activities

Essentials :

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in the development sector

or

- Candidates with industry experience in concept selling in educational organizations/ KPO/business consulting organisations with demonstratable experience of securing and/or managing donors/clients across sectors.

- Excellent communication/presentation skill : Has to be a good orator. Strong command over English language (written, spoken) and Hindi Language (written and spoken)

- Experience in writing reports and proposals and/or Experience in business writing, networking, communications, and outreach

- Thorough knowledge of computers Microsoft Office - Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook etc. and skilled in using social media marketing tools

- Should have expertise in working in individual capacity

Desirable :

- To have experience in securing and/or managing funds from bilateral / multilateral funding organizations.

- Sound technical knowledge in the areas of child rights

- To be a hands on person - right from conceptualisation to implementation

- Has had prior experience of working in small to mid segment organisations

Qualifications :

- Management graduate from a reputed university - MBA Sales and Marketing

- Marketing background will be preferred

- Should be comfortable with number crunching
