- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience

- Use editing techniques to maintain continuity and flow throughout the film.

- Arrange scenes in a logical and engaging order to enhance the overall narrative.

- Ensure that all elements are integrated seamlessly to enhance the overall viewing experience.

- Ensure that the project follows a logical sequence that aligns with the storyline.

- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity

- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film

- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects

- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.

- Ability to work under tight schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of projects.

- Present a portfolio of completed film productions, showcasing editing skills and creativity.

- Demonstrate proficiency in using editing software and a comprehensive understanding of the post-production process.

- Showcase a keen understanding of storytelling through visual elements and an ability to enhance the emotional impact of a film.

- Provide examples of projects where initial concepts were successfully realized in the final edited product.

Requirements and skills:

- Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.

- Previous work experience as a video editor.

- Creative and artistic skills.

- Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.

- Portfolio of completed film productions.

- Ability to work to a tight schedule.

- Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
