Vice President - Sales/Business Development - Chemical (15-20 yrs)
Relevant Experience :
- Experience selling one or more of the following products :
1. Chemicals (Raw Material) for the paint and construction chemical industry, which includes but is not limited to :
- Emulsions (Styrene Acrylic, Pure Acrylic, Vinyl Acetate Ethylene, etc.)
- Additives (Defoamers, dispersing agents, wetting agents, surfactants, etc.)
- Minerals (Talc, Calcium Carbonate, etc.)
- Titanium Dioxide
- SBR latex
- Redispersible powder (RDP)
2. Chemicals (Raw Material) for the rubber industry, which includes but is not limited to :
- Natural rubber and synthetic rubber / Elastomers (SBR, NBR, PBR, EPDM, FKM, Isoprene, Silicone, Epichlorohydrin, PTFE, TPE), Reclaimed rubber, etc.
- Stearic Acid
- Magnesium Oxide, Calcium oxide etc.
- Carbon Black
3. Chemicals (Raw Material) for the plastic industry, which includes but is not limited to :
- PVC resin
- Processing aids
- Impact modifiers
- Paraffin wax
Responsibilities :
- Identify and acquire develop business for the organization.
- Identify, recruit and train employees who would be the right fit for the organization.
- Create and maintain sales and general reports from the team on daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Field accompaniments for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships.
- Achieving the company's targets in sync with the organizational growth strategy.
- Develop relationships and build a connect with key personnel at all stakeholder's accounts.
- Develop new product lines that will help scale up the organization.
- Collaborating with new principal companies both domestic and international.
- Identify and implement the right channels for marketing, distribution, and logistics.
- Gather market intelligence e.g., current trends, market share of competitors, pricing strategy, technology and innovations, marketing channels, etc.
- Implementing a pricing policy in sync with the organization's profitability targets.
- Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets.
- Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction along with after sales service.
- Identify where improvements can be made and develop success-driven plans.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
Requisite Skills :
- Confident, assertive, and having excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Leadership and sales management skills. Candidate should have proven track record of getting results in sales and driving the team.
- Negotiation and closing skills. Strong payment recovery skills and ability to drive sales and payment collection targets with proven records.
- Independent decision-making skills
- An understanding of international markets along with an understanding of systems and procedures involving import and exports and forecasting price trends.
- Have a great ability to think critically, understand customer needs and solve problems.
- Team player with excellent motivational, organizational and leadership skills.
- Computer literacy. Should be well versed with MS office application like word, excel, and power point.
- Should be ready to travel Pan India for business development.
- Maintain Data and Present it whenever required.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Being performance-driven and focused on results
- Ability to self-motivate and motivate others.
- Candidate should have worked previously as General Manager or any similar position.
