Job Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and promote the company's products or services, building strong relationships with clients and meeting sales targets within a designated geographical area. You will be the face of the company, interacting directly with potential customers and building strong relationships to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
Responsibilities :
- Sales Prospecting : Identifying and researching potential customers in the assigned territory or market. This involves cold-calling, networking, and using various tools to gather data.
- Client Relationship Management : Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and new prospects. Understanding their needs, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Product/Service Presentation : Demonstrating and explaining the features and benefits of the company's products or services to potential clients. Tailoring presentations to match customer needs.
- Sales Negotiation : Negotiating terms and pricing to close deals with customers. Finding common ground and reaching mutually beneficial agreements.
- Sales Goal Achievement : Setting and striving to achieve sales targets and quotas within the assigned territory. This involves meeting monthly, quarterly, or annual sales objectives.
- Territory Management : Effectively managing the designated sales territory, organizing schedules, and planning efficient routes for client visits.
- Market Research : Staying informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and potential threats.
- Sales Reporting : Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward sales targets. Providing regular reports to the respective Reporting Manager.
- Collaboration : Working closely with the sales team, marketing, and other relevant departments to coordinate efforts and support the overall sales strategy.
- Product Knowledge : Staying up-to-date with the company's product or service offerings, understanding the technical specifications, and being able to address customer inquiries effectively.
- Travel : Being comfortable with frequent travel within the assigned territory or beyond, depending on the company's sales scope.
Qualification and Requirements :
- Graduation or Post Graduation in Business, Marketing or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Ability to do sales, preferably in a field sales or customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients.
- Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Knowledge of the industry and the products/services being sold.
- Proficiency in using sales CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and possess a valid driver's license.
- Owns Laptop.
