Velocity - Sales Trainer (7-10 yrs)
Job Description :
Velocity seeks a full-time Sales Trainer to help develop the skills of our growing Growth Capital sales team. This person will assist the founder and leadership team to plan and execute programs for sales training, coaching and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities :
- Training and onboarding new Sales Team members
- Maintaining existing Sales Training documents and creating new training materials
- Facilitate rewards programs to recognize top talent and encourage productivity among reps
- Identify problem areas among Sales Associate pool and assist in implementing coaching plans and solutions
- Daily Role play and Call Shadowing sessions to coach reps through various scenarios
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation experience for new hires including Company Overview and Product level details
- Thorough understanding of product, positioning and processes to be able to explain and train new team members
- Provide and coordinate continued education opportunities to develop technical skills and efficiency of reps as well as retain employees
Required Skills/Experience :
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Extremely organized
- Ability to present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way
- Manage time well while correctly prioritizing tasks
- Thorough understanding of the sales process, customer service and inside sales selling techniques
- Proven ability to achieve or enable achieving sales quotas
- Previous experience mentoring or training sales professionals a must
Desired Skills/Experience :
Master's Degree
- 7+ years inside sales experience required
- Financial Products, Advertising or Software Sales experience a plus
- Start-up experience is a plus
