About the Team :

- We are looking for a skillful speech writer to craft speeches and narrative briefs for our client. The speech writer's responsibilities will include preparing speeches suited for the audience and platform, completing revisions according to internal feedback, and meeting all deadlines. They should be able to analyze the voice and tone of the speaker and prepare a speech best suited to them. They must also be detail-oriented and have excellent research skills.

What Would This Role Entail ?

- Content creation : Consume briefs and develop speeches and narrative briefs with a high degree of care towards structure, points of emphasis, punchlines, content and overall style. Quickly grasp political & policy-related subjects and craft politically succinct speeches and briefs with the audience in mind.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with various teams across the organization to assess content needs. Work closely with the campaign and political intelligence teams of the organization to understand scripting guidelines and develop comprehensive & clear messaging.

- Expanding knowledge base : Conduct research to obtain interesting facts and statistics that can be used in speeches. Listen to and analyze different speakers and speeches to learn about different styles and emerging trends.

- Assessment and optimisation : Evaluate the efficacy and reception of the speech by constantly understanding the target audience. Ensure that the speech is conversational and that the objectives are clear to the audience.

Necessary Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism/English literature/ communications/ creative writing or a similar discipline

- Excellent research and analytical skills with a good understanding of public speaking

- Political acumen and understanding of local culture, geography, and political landscape

- Professional proficiency in Kannada and English is a must

Good to Have Skills :

- Master's degree is preferable

- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with short turnaround times
