Why are we building UrbanClap?
The local and home services industry is very fragmented and unorganized. Prior to UrbanClap, hiring a plumber, beautician, yoga trainer, math tutor etc. was a painful process. There were no standards, no concept of trust, pricing inefficiencies etc. In a nutshell, the industry was shackled in the - yellow pages- era, and had seen no fundamental innovation for far too long.
The UrbanClap team is young and passionate, and we see a massive disruption opportunity in his industry. By leveraging technology, and a set of simple yet powerful processes, we wish to build a platform which can organize the world of services - and bring them to your finger-tips. We believe there is immense value (akin to serendipity) in bringing together customers and professionals looking for each other. In the process, we hope to impact the lives of millions of service entrepreneurs, and transform service commerce they way Amazon transformed product commerce
Responsibilities of the Creative Director :
The Creative Director is one of the most important positions within the marketing team at UrbanClap. This individual is one of the core custodians of our brand. Therefore, we expect her to deeply understand the brand, have an independent view on how to shape it, and voice that brand accurately across all our marketing and promotional campaigns. To that effect, the Creative Director will also own the creative execution of all our marketing campaigns. Simply put, she will be responsible for all marketing and advertising content we push out - from TVC to Radio, Facebook to YouTube, Instagram to Snapchat and beyond. More importantly, she will be fully responsible to own these campaigns from insights to copy.
Specifically, the Creative Director will be expected to own :
- Customer Insights
Deeply understand our consumer base, and where they are on the continuum of awareness to evangelism. Develop crisp insights which can be the heart of our marketing campaigns
- Planning and Road-mapping
- Work with marketing to create quarterly, monthly and weekly campaign plans and objectives
- Campaign Management and Execution :
TV and YouTube campaigns : Identify and work with creative agencies on TVCs and YouTube campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of clutter breaking advertisements
Radio, Newspaper, ATL and Outdoor : Work on creating path breaking campaigns for Outdoor, Radio, Newspaper and other ATL channels, managing creative and content development end to end.
- Social Media Ads and Content :
Manage all social media ads, and most social media organic postings, by working closely with a team of designers, social media marketers, copy writers and videographers.
- Brand custodian :
Provide strategic direction to the UrbanClap founding and leadership team on building the brand further
Pre-requisites to apply :
- Minimum 5 years of experience of art direction and content creation, with a minimum 2 years of experience in working with a brand
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing a team of 5+ members
- Bachelors/Master's degree from a top-tier Indian or Global Institute
- Driven individual, with lots of ownership and dreams in her eyes
