Senior Business Development Executive
Responsibilities :
1. Business Development : Drive new business acquisition efforts by identifying and prospecting potential clients within target industries and market segments. Generate leads through proactive outreach, networking, and referrals to expand the client base.
2. Client Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, understanding their business needs, challenges, and objectives. Act as a trusted advisor, providing tailored solutions and support to maximize client satisfaction and retention.
3. Consultative Selling : Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their market research requirements and develop customized proposals and solutions. Articulate the value proposition and benefits of UMR's services to address client needs effectively.
4. Sales Presentations and Demonstrations : Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospects, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our market research offerings. Tailor presentations to address client-specific challenges and objectives.
5. Proposal Development : Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts in response to client requests for proposals (RFPs) and inquiries. Collaborate with internal teams, including research and operations, to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals that meet client needs.
6. Negotiation and Closing : Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure profitable deals and achieve sales targets. Close sales opportunities in a timely manner while ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
7. Sales Forecasting and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system. Track sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide regular reports to management on sales pipeline status, progress, and forecasts.
8. Market Intelligence : Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities within the market research domain. Leverage market intelligence to identify opportunities for business growth, differentiation, and competitive advantage.
9. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, research, and client services, to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure seamless execution of client projects and deliverables.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of sales experience in the market research or related industry, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of market research methodologies, services, and solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with clients.
- Consultative selling approach with the ability to uncover client needs and develop customized solutions.
- Effective negotiation skills with a focus on driving win-win outcomes.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and value.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot) and Google suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team- oriented environment.
