Unacademy - Content Design Head (5-10 yrs)

- Unacademy is seeking an agile, thoughtful, and resilient mid-career professional who is driven by the opportunity to contribute to the impact Unacademy seeks to make in the Education space and has long term aspirations to be a leader of a large organization.

- This person will work directly with the K-12 Academic Head on strategic and operational priorities relevant to our K-12 category. This person will be responsible for managing Unacademy's content production engine for all K-12 subjects - from curriculum design to creation of high-impact teaching aids to quality standardization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design:

- You will be actively involved in advising the Academic Head on the curriculum for each subject and class in line with national and state examination body guidelines and key concepts that need to be reinforced for each chapter

Content Creation:

- Your primary role will be to lead a team of designers to identify and create high-impact teaching aids to ensure the best possible experience for learners.

- This will involve preparation of teaching aids for display in class as well as study notes and ready reckoners of key concepts in innovative and interactive formats

Quality Standardization:

- You will need to define and enforce standards for quality of interactions for all material that is published. It is critical that we have a robust quality check process and ensure that no explicit content makes its way to our learners

Training & Development:

- As the design team will be providing content for young learners, it is essential that they are in a continuous professional development program with regular feedback and training on how they can improve and provide the best quality experience to learners

Organizational Effectiveness:

- Help incubate / refine and run essential systems and processes related to content for the K-12 category. Sense and implement opportunities for process improvement.

Requirement:

- The ideal candidate will have, Top-notch education credentials - Degree(s) in humanities fields from leading universities

- 5-10 years working in top publication houses such as McGraw Hill, Pearson, Oxford University Press, S. Chand

- Demonstrable record in developing textbooks and curriculum for schools

- High ownership and drive to execute end-to-end projects

- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, start-up ecosystem
