About the role:
- We're looking for an all-star to be part of our market development team. If you are comfortable in an - all hands on deck- environment, love solving problems and want to change how commerce happens in India, this is the place for you.
- Market development being the core of commerce happening on Udaan. This is the team that interacts, onboards sellers and buyers to conduct cross-country trade on our platform. The single objective being to get the reach of Udaan to every city and town of the country.
- In this role you will be responsible for market research, gather insights and plan a strategy to achieve the business
goals. Critical objectives for you would be to increase the penetration of Udaan into newer markets and acquire traders.
What you will need
- Taken up city level roles and has people management skills (handled team of atleast 10 people)
- Must be competent in building/managing a team (hiring & training)
- 3-7 years experience into hard core field sales, preferably someone from retail format.
- Someone familiar with market
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment and a generalist do-what-it-takes mind-set
- A demonstrated record of positively owning and leading initiatives and continuous process improvement mind-set
What you will do
- You'll be tasked with inspiring and growing the seller/buyer base on UDAAN. You'll have great opportunities to develop & foster various skill sets:
- Find the pulse of business for your city/ category and identify new ways to simplify it further
- Engage with traders and work with business owners to help them grow along with the platform
- Orchestrate operationalization on the ground and develop feedback loops for product enhancement
- Manage communication and intervene to resolve disputes as and when required
