TRRAIN (Trust for Retailers and Retail Associates of India), is a public charitable trust formed in 2011 by Mr. B. S. Nagesh, with the vision of Empowering People in Retail and works to achieve immediate and lasting change in the lives of retail associates in India. We are solely committed to upgrading the lives of people in retail, both at work and at home. TRRAIN has undertaken various initiatives to enable retail associates to upgrade their skills through TRRAIN Education Program and build pride and dignity through the TRRAIN Retail Awards and Retail Employees Day. A new social enterprise called TRRAIN Circle, a start-up, is now being launched for the benefit of the retail Industry. The objective is to upgrade the lives of people in retail by providing them with benefits across broadly three categories- products, services, and knowledge. The above-mentioned role is for TRRAIN Circle.
Job Purpose :
- The primary purpose of this role is to target more for same and same for less in products, services and knowledge.
- To execute dual role of thoroughly understanding target customer and then bringing relevant products and services and to prospect for new clients and maintain positive relationship with the existing clientele.
Scope of the Position :
- Strategic planning to develop new business coming to the company for Trrain and Trrain Circle.
- To grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to the clients.
- Is accountable to develop and maintain business alliances for Trrain Circle.
- Is accountable to get Trrain Circle members better and relevant offers by bringing relevant business alliances.
- Is responsible to get benefits for Trrain Circle members daily both at work and home improving quality of life of individuals and families and in turn build a margin share for Trrain Circle.
Specific Responsibilities :
Business Development :
- Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities by meeting potential clients, growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Set up meetings between client decision makers and company leaders.
- Plan approaches and pitches by working with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing the solution/service.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
- Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
- Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
- Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within Trrain's CRM system.
Business Development Planning:
- Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Offers and Discounts :
- To get offers/deals/discounts on the Trrain Circle app for end user consumption.
- To get services/ facilities/amenities which impacts the lives of a retail associate on the TC app.
- To negotiate with partners to give offers/deals/discounts lower than the marker price.
Relationship Management :
- Maintains and updates latest developments of alliance accounts.
- Builds multi-level relationships with its partners including those in the HR and executive level.
- Relationships with these partners must remain well managed and mutually beneficial to both companies.
- Manage agreements with alliance executives and promotes alliance organization.
Key Skills and Competencies :
- Ability to think innovatively.
- Excellent prospecting networking, persuasion, negotiation and closing skills.
- Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning and Identification of customer needs and challenges.
- Very strong on market knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently with the CRM.
- Ability to manage relationship with peers to achieve organization lead result rather than individual result.
- Responsible for planning, strategizing and co-ordinating deliverables.
- S/he must have excellent communication skills and commercially astute.
- S/he must be determined, outgoing and positive.
- Attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities.
- Self-starter who is result driven and motivated.
- Highly numerate with strong ability in financial analysis, forecasting, project costing, preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels across industries.
