Tradepass - Manager - Marketing (2-5 yrs)
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of marketing campaigns. They will be expected to work independently, demonstrate a very good understand of digital marketing tactics and data segmentation and analysis. The Marketing Manager can have more than one resource reporting directly into them.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop a well thought out marketing campaign for the exhibitor, sponsor, speaker and delegate acquisition
- Carefully manage spend on the allocated budget, ensure costs are controlled and due process is followed
- Implement as part of the marketing campaign a smart digital strategy to generate leads, create brand awareness and drive online registrations
- Work with the branding/web team to create and maintain a user-friendly website and ensure all company-wide data protection policies are adhered to
- In conjunction with the branding/web team, create, adapt, improve and optimize web communication for SEO and organic and keyword search.
- Develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to support and expand our digital presence
- Manage PR and press relations, appoint (where required) and manage third-party suppliers such as PR agencies, print and mail houses, digital marketing agencies, associations etc.
- Assist in the preparation and drafting of various communications (email, social media, blogs, etc. - ) including at times high-level press conferences
Email Campaign, Print & Social Media :
- Manage inbound marketing system, including campaign development and data analysis. Develop compelling custom content
- Optimize print, social media and blog campaigns to generate interaction, brand exposure, and sales
- Identify appropriate print and social media channels for targeted campaigns
- Develop and implement customer service response to common complaints and a process in which they are resolved and communicated
- Hands-on experience with inbound marketing systems, and familiarity with marketing automation practices
- Strong working knowledge of HTML, Word Press, Email Campaign systems, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram
Competencies & Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in Digital Marketing with a focus on content development and/or reporting, knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) (event marketing experience would be an added advantage)
- Must be able to present the portfolio of work, including writing and digital samples
- Expert knowledge in the latest in digital and social media technology and channels and how to best leverage for marketing programs as part of an overall social business strategy
- Ability to forge relationships with media
- Excellent knowledge of digital marketing and data segmentation
- Excellent project and deadline management skills
- Qualification: Graduate or MBA in Marketing
- Experience in conference/event industry (desirable)
