About the Company:
We are Tradeomatic Limited; a company based in Hong Kong that specializes in supplying a whole set of B2B solutions in personal hygiene products and raw materials. We are seeking a qualified Marketing Manager for our Indian company TRADEOMATIC ENTERPRISE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED to keep our revenue engine running for our in-house brands TokiBaby and TokiHealth.
Role Objective:
The Product Development Manager is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of product development, from innovation, conceptualization to launch to expand portfolio of product by introducing new products. This can be done by evaluating existing products or creating and introducing new products in new categories for profitable growth. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and ensuring that products are developed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards. The key role is in driving innovation and ensuring the company's product portfolio remains competitive and aligned with market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities and threats.
- Identify the problem or gap in demand and supply and create product to cater to it by talking to customers, by the means of surveys by utilising market and on field contacts.
- Drafting strategies for approaching new markets/categories/target groups and develops bottom-up business cases for new products/projects in close cooperation with Senior & Middle management.
- Based on market research, gap analysis and understanding of raw material, evaluate existing product or invent new product. Develop and implement product development strategies that align with the company's goals and market needs.
- Create new packaging design in case of new product and develop the final packaging design.
- Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
- Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure npd's are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
- Develops, implements and executes the marketing plan including sampling plan, coordinates and controls the new product launch activities or new project activities
- Manages, monitors, respects and controls the budget for new business development. Signals deviations.
- Derive sale margin of the product after discussion with the sale and accounts team.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams.
- Act as a liaison between stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to develop product specifications and prototypes.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine product features and functionality.
- Initiate and complete the trademark procedure for the product.
- Develop communication strategies, innovative and creative marketing campaigns and messages that are impactful, address customer needs and are persuasive to the target audience in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Increase brand awareness by developing both offline as well as online marketing materials and campaigns that supports the brand image and product positioning.
- Monitor product performance post-launch and gather customer feedback by going in market for future improvements.
- Ensure that the Sales Managers are involved in the development process of the promotional material, while maintaining the general trends of the strategies.
- Conduct training to sales team about the marketing strategy for the (existing / new) products, the market environment and all on-going marketing activities and materials. Motivates the Sales team to follow and apply those strategies.
- Develop and manage product development budgets.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and financial projections for new product initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports on product development progress, market analysis, and performance metrics.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of product development processes and decisions.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Product Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Should have at least 10 years of experience In FMCG or Personal Hygiene industry with proven experience in product development, project management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in product management software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
