Times Internet - Manager - Sales Operations (6-10 yrs)
Key Result Areas of the position :
- The Sales Operations Manager will partner with cross-functional teams at TIL (including sales, operations, finance and business intelligence), with the primary objective of enabling sales leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions.
- The role will entail leading business planning and insights, operational reviews and strategic projects to drive scalable revenue growth and operational effectiveness in the sales organization.
Key Interfaces :
Chief Revenue Officer, Head - Ad Operations, NSMs, RSMs, Product Teams and Managers from Sales and Ad-Operations
Responsibilities :
- Partner for senior management on key business and operational activities
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the sales teams, product teams, Fin and HR.
Business planning and insights :
- Support senior management in strategic, operational and financial planning and ensure decisions in line with the direct sales organization's approach
- Work with cross-functional groups to evaluate advertising product performance, improve efficiency through automation, and lead product adoption and revenue opportunity analysis to identify short and long term growth opportunities
- Create and maintain key data sets and reporting to track and manage the performances of the sales teams. Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
- Ensure we have strong plans at a region, vertical/team and account level
- Program manage sales planning, forecasting, account planning and execution for the revenue function
Sales Strategy :
- Actively work with sales team in building value propositions across products, properties, geographies and key clients
- Review and design of key presentation decks and case studies for various properties, markets and products.
Strategic projects and initiatives :
Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for direct sales teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
Lead/facilitate cross functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations through to implementation
Drive operational excellence in the Sales organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business
Facilitate /Incubate various emerging businesses until they reach critical scale.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or other relevant/quantitative disciplines from a leading university, MBA a plus
- 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales operations and /or business operations preferably in the digital media or internet space
- Experience leading strategy, operations and process improvement projects at a consulting firm or in a relevant strategy/operations team
- Change management experience a plus
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
- Able to develop or oversee advanced quantitative analysis and derive actionable insights
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Can lead / influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Results and detail oriented, with strong commercial/business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior Excel and Power point skills
