An ideal candidate will play a critical role as a Social Media Manager for our new Social Media Page featuring short lifestyle stories with moral lessons. This initiative is part of our Yoga Institute's broader mission to promote health and wellness through yoga, wisdom, and advice. This is an Individual contributor role and the candidate should have hands on experience handling the roles and responsibilities outlined below.
Responsibilities :
Content Creation and Management :
- Curate, create, and publish engaging, high-quality content that aligns with the institute's values and mission.
- Develop and share short lifestyle stories and ideas with moral lessons, ensuring content is relevant, original, and on-trend.
- Collaborate with top management and various departments to produce successful social media campaigns and support local and promotional events.
- Research on Trending Topics
Social Media Strategy and Engagement :
- Knowledge about Posting and Developing clear strategies to increase engagement and grow the institute's social media following.
- Create and manage compelling text, video, and graphic posts tailored for platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Schedule and coordinate content across all social media channels to maintain consistent and effective communication.
Collaboration and Community Building :
- Coordinate and collaborate with other pages or individuals, commenting on other pages.
- Work closely with creative services or independently to produce engaging content.
- Build and maintain relationships through social media platforms, ensuring active and positive community engagement.
- Monitor, manage, and respond to online reviews and audience interactions.
Analytics and SEO :
- Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics to track progress, refine strategies, and optimize content for better reach and engagement.
- Coordinate with SEO strategies to generate more inbound traffic and enhance the institute's online presence.
Trend Monitoring and Adaptation :
- Stay updated with the latest social media trends and adapt them to fit the institute's ethical framework and mission.
- Review advertising trends, consumer surveys, and other data to determine the best promotional strategies.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in managing social media tools and platforms.
- Should have prior experience of working in Entertainment sector/ industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in creating graphic and video posts tailored for social media platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex workflows.
- Strong knowledge of current social media trends.
- Ability to proofread content and ensure high-quality output.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and quickly adjust strategies based on new information.
- Cross-functional marketing experience for social media handles.
Additional Information :
- Probationary Period : 3 months
- Food Policy : Only vegetarian food is allowed on the premises. The institute provides Satvik food, but employees may bring their own vegetarian meals. No non-vegetarian food is permitted during working hours.
- Leave Policy : 12 annual leaves, including national and state holidays.
- Work Ethics : Smoking is strictly prohibited during work hours, and smoke breaks are not allowed on or off the premises.
