We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketplace Specialist to join our team. As a Marketplace Specialist, you will be responsible for managing inventory and optimizing listings on various online marketplaces, including eBay, Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, and other platforms. Your role will involve coordinating marketing efforts, researching new marketplaces, monitoring competitive pricing, and analyzing marketplace metrics and sales.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory: Ensure efficient management of inventory across multiple online marketplaces, including monitoring stock levels, coordinating fulfillment processes, and maintaining accurate product availability.
- Listing creation and optimization: Create compelling and optimized product listings for all marketplaces, including writing engaging product descriptions, selecting appropriate images, and incorporating relevant keywords to improve search visibility and conversion rates.
- Coordinate marketing activities: Develop and execute marketing strategies for all online marketplaces, including identifying and leveraging promotional opportunities, optimised pricing strategies, and creating engaging content such as guides, banners, HTML templates, and email campaigns.
- Research and identify new marketplaces: Stay updated on emerging online marketplaces, conduct research on their logistical requirements and pricing structures, and make recommendations for expansion to maximize our brand's reach and sales potential.
- Monitor competitive pricing: Regularly monitor and analyse competitive listings and pricing strategies across all marketplaces, making necessary adjustments to maintain competitiveness and drive sales.
- Review customer feedback and marketplace health: Monitor customer feedback and reviews, address any issues or concerns promptly, and identify opportunities for improvement. Stay updated on marketplace policies and guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Maintain understanding of back-end tools and processes: Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the back-end tools, processes, and systems used for marketplace management. Continuously stay updated on platform updates and enhancements.
- Analyse marketplace metrics and sales: Monitor, analyse, and report on marketplace metrics, sales performance, and trends. Utilize data insights to identify areas for improvement, optimize sales strategies, and support forecasting and decision-making processes.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, data sciences, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, online marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Amazon PPC: Possess a strong understanding of Amazon Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising and implement effective strategies to increase visibility and drive sales.
- Preferred experience in buying and selling on Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, or similar platforms.
- Preferred knowledge of listing processes on various marketplaces.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in analyzing marketplace data and sales analytics for forecasting and decision-making.
- Experience in merchandising, online marketing, and/or e-commerce is preferred.
- Familiarity with product listings, data feeds, email marketing, search engine marketing, and Google Analytics is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software.
