The Social Booth - Media Buying & Planning Professional (2-4 yrs)
Media Planning and Buying executive is responsible for analyzing the data, thinking creatively and recommending innovative strategies to make sure marketing campaigns reach the right target audience in the most effective way possible.
- Should be adept at researching audiences and associated trends
- Maintain contact with media companies ensuring statistics, audience and cost details are up to date at all times in addition to knowing what's new in the market and how it can be leveraged by brands; negotiate the best media rates basis client expectations
- Work closely with the servicing/ strategy team to understand marketing objectives and suggest media plans
- Find the most effective media channels within an allocated budget; identify and suggest the best mix of media channels for a campaign
- Create and present media proposal including timings and cost breakdowns
- Suggest timings of media activities based upon the usage patterns and seasonal factors
- Launch campaigns and track the performance from start to end including creating reports at the end of the campaigns
- Optimize advertising basis audience insights, manage budgets and update the team on the effectiveness of campaigns
- Should have experience of working on media campaigns across industries such as auto, travel, food, not for profit, tech, etc
Skill set requirements :
- Relevant experience of 2-3 years in digital media and advertising planning and buying
- Working knowledge and effective vocabulary across search, social, display, video and/ or programmatic media buying
- Experience with Media Research Tools
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Excellent research skills
- Confident negotiator
- Good team and interpersonal skills
- Proficient at execution of campaigns on all popular media channels - FB/ IG/ Twitter/Linkedin/ Youtube/ Google Ads/ Native advertising mediums
- Able to work alongside a range of people and as part of a team
- Analytical and comfortable interpreting data into meaningful research
- Experienced presenter with good written and spoken communication
- Persuasive and diplomatic
- Detail oriented and responsive
- Should be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Confident with talking on the phone/ hold face-to-face meetings with media owners
