Position Overview :
We seek a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our school sales efforts in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, with at least one year of experience generating leads, conducting client visits, pitching products, and securing deals. This role requires excellent communication skills in English and a willingness to travel extensively within the city.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead Generation : Identify and generate new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach to schools across Mumbai.
- Client Visits : Schedule and conduct meetings with school administrators and decision-makers to understand their needs and demonstrate how The Education Match can meet those needs.
- Product Pitching : Present and articulate the value proposition of The Education Match platform effectively, tailoring pitches to the specific requirements and pain points of each school.
- Sales Closure : Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing, including proposal creation, negotiation, and final agreement.
- Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with school clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market Insight : Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Travel : Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Mumbai to meet with potential and existing clients.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience in B2B sales.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
- Sales Acumen : Proven ability to generate leads, conduct successful sales meetings, and close deals.
- Adaptability : Comfortable with extensive local travel and a flexible approach to work.
- Interpersonal Skills : Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Self-motivation : Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team.
- Education : A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
