The Build - Associate/Senior Associate - Growth Marketing (1-6 yrs)
Who we are!
- We're a couple of experienced brand & growth strategists that bring together a strong penchant for data, a love for digital, a focus on consumer-first communications, a love for pun-ny branding and a passion for growing businesses! If you're in a build state of mind, you're in the right place.
- What we're building
- A brand & growth consultancy aimed at helping consumer brands with promise to meet their growth potential & the right consumers, with an ROI-first mindset. Our approach is to build out tailor-made strategies rooted in the realities of building a digital-first business - across awareness, communication, performance and sales channels. We are advisors, friends, idea boards and guides to the brands we work with.
- We are based out of WeWork, Vikhroli in Mumbai. The position will be hybrid and flexible WFH, but we'd want to see each other's lovely faces at least 2-3 times a week, if not more (later on, probably).

Role & responsibility
1. Collaborate with us to develop and implement growth strategies for digital brands: both D2C and ecommerce marketplaces
2. Think brand-first and craft unique, sustainable growth practices across acquisition, retention, engagement. Have a keen interest in / understanding of various growth mediums like performance marketing, CRM, CRO, etc.
3. Stay up-to-date with industry trends & best practices in the digital space
4 . Work on creating real value to the growth ecosystem by understanding key brand pain points, devising solutions, making those solutions scalable - all while measuring impact.
5. Be super open to experiment, learn and jugaad. The odd Excel task should be up your alley, as should a data visualization exercise, or exploring a new revenue stream for The Build Inc. + more things we can't think of just yet ;)
6 . Work with us to create best-in-class SOPs and frameworks for growth - both for ourselves, and for our clients
Education, experience & aptitude :
1. Highly data-driven, with an analytical bent of mind and exceptional problem solving ability
2. 1-2 years working in growth marketing/analytics with a keen interest/understanding of the D2C space
3. Super super exceptional communication skills - both verbal and visual
4 . Like people and be able to work well with them - both internally & externally
5 . A general openness to learning new skills and trying things outside your comfort zone
6 . Ideally, know your way around Powerpoint/Slides/Canva
What you should be prepared for ?
Pivots : In a business that's just over a year old, expect for things to evolve. This could be your role, the business model, or the kind of clients we work with. As long as we keep communication open and flowing in both directions, we don't see this to be a problem!
Genuine effort : We're not people that do things halfway, and a lack of sincerity is a pet peeve. If you're in, be all in and do your best at any task you take up. It's cool if you don't know how to do something but give it a go and the rest, we'll figure out together.
Multi-hatting : You'll be expected to don different hats depending on the day and task at hand. Do not expect to have a unidimensional POV on everything you do here. The plus side? Well-rounded learning, at a pretty fast pace! We're a small team so if you're interested in doing more things and doing them differently, we're interested in having you do them too.
- Also, we're young & new, and want to keep things transparent; so the pay range for this job is anywhere up to INR 6L per annum - depending on your profile relevance, past experience, ability to be versatile, and most importantly, the interview process!
