Responsibilities:
- Present copy concepts and final deliverables to an internal team as needed.
- Write persuasive copy for a variety of media including email, App push, social, web pages, print, video, and online, to achieve desired conversion metrics.
- Drive brand consistency across all company communications.
- Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts through execution of assigned tasks.
- Research and understand the company's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, category managers, and in-person meetings.
- Write original copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communications materials.
- Revise copy based on internal feedback/direction.
- Edit and proofread copy as needed.
- Collaborate with communications teams, and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns and landing pages).
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Candidates with Ed-Tech experience will be preferred; or relevant agency/startup experience.
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides a plus.
- Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, etc.
