Territory Sales Manager - FMCG/FMCD (2-5 yrs)
Job Summary
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for driving sales and revenue growth within an assigned territory by managing dealer/distributor relationships, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The TSM will implement sales strategies, achieve sales targets, and contribute to the company's overall success by maintaining a strong presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing customers.
Dealer/Distributor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and distributors.
- Monitor distributor performance and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to channel partners to enhance sales performance.
Market Development
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential growth areas.
- Develop and execute territory-specific marketing and promotional strategies.
- Expand the dealer network by identifying and onboarding new channel partners.
Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customers in the territory.
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long-term relationships.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and submit regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence to management.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to enhance competitive strategies.
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical practices within the territory.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and transactions.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
Experience: 3-5 years of sales experience, preferably in [industry, e.g., electronics, FMCG, etc.].
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales targets.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Strong understanding of the local market and cultural nuances.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle (if applicable).
