Territory Manager - Agency - Sales - General Insurance (2-5 yrs)

Our client is the Insurance division of a leading Indian diversified conglomerate. The group is a large diversified Indian company headquartered in Mumbai with 17 manufacturing sites in India and plants in Mainland China, Poland, Italy and Mexico. The group is a US$5 billion global conglomerate.
The insurance vertical was founded in 2013 through a joint venture with a leading US Insurance company. The company collected premium in excess of Rs. 600 crores in 2016 and has 600+ employees across 25 cities in India.
As the Territory Manager - Agency, you will be responsible to ensure generation of new business through the agency channel. You will lead the development and implementation of channel strategies consistent with the long-term business objectives of the company.
The other key responsibilities include :
- Recruitment and Licensing of Agents
- Building a Team of High Performing Sales Managers
- Ensuring recruitment of intermediaries through own team
- Achieving Top Line and Bottom Line revenue targets for the channel
- Achieving Line wise Budgets
- Managing own set of large agents
- Training and Handholding of agents to develop the portfolio
- Designing local campaigns to improve productivity and aligning to organizational requirements
- Conducting periodic structure meetings to assess development and plan future course of action
- Creating a win-win relationship with the agency within the territory
- Orienting channel strategies and tactics towards activation of channels with higher margins and better customer retention
Candidate Profile :
- Any graduate degree
- 2-5 years experience in General Insurance industry
- Specific knowledge of any area Products and Distribution
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with a strategic bent of mind
- Strong commercial awareness and market intelligence
- Self-driven and motivated personality
- Strong problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities
- Good understanding of product, competition and industry requirements
- Flexible for moderate travel
Annual CTC: Rupees 8,00,000 to 10,00,000
