Job brief :
- The role is focused on generating revenue by acquiring Members/Speakers/sponsors for conferences and other business events. The person is responsible for tailoring proposals for prospective clients, which should, in turn, result in long-term rewarding relationships. This exciting B2B sales role is suited for driven, career-focused over-achievers that enjoy recognition and are willing to challenge themselves to attain it.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Forge and foster industry-agnostic relationships with C-level executives.
- Acquiring new clients/members by cold calling, meetings, and referrals.
- Maintain relationships with industry leaders (CXO's) and communicate the advantages of being a part of Connect Team.
- Follow a disciplined approach to maintaining a rolling pipeline and gradually increasing membership sales.
- Achieving sales targets quarter on quarter basis. Manage service TATs and business compliance as per organizational mandates.
- Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each conference/event.
- Expand existing client relationships, improve client satisfaction, strengthen client commitment, ensure client retention, and grow membership revenue.
- Willingness to travel within the city.
- Helping the team achieve the set KRAs
- Conduct relevant market research and analysis to identify key trends in the sectors' advertising and marketing strategies and provide a solution to those strategic needs.
- Maximize revenue and ensure that revenue targets attached to conferences/summits are achieved.
Knowledge and Skills :
- Relevant B2B Sales experience
- Successful track record in developing and managing conference brands for at least 2-3 years
- Domain knowledge in at least two sectors. Preferable sectors - Finance, Retail, Education, Infrastructure, Telecom & Technology or Horizontal platforms
- Excellent writing, editing, communication, presentation, human relations, and interpersonal skill
- Proactive and should be able to multitask.
- Exceptional networking skills
- Out-of-the-box thinker
- Experience in Managing a team
Qualifications & Experience :
- A graduate with a business or related degree with a minimum experience of 5+ years
