Team Lead - Businness Development - Industrial Product (5-10 yrs)

The Business Development Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of business development professionals in driving growth and expanding the market presence of the company's electrical products and services. This position involves strategizing, executing,

and overseeing business development activities, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, leadership, and the electrical industry, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team while achieving company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Management:

- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of business development executives to achieve sales targets and business goals.

- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and product knowledge.

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance reviews.

- Ensure effective resource allocation, workflow distribution, and team alignment with business objectives.

2. Strategic Planning & Business Development:

- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to increase market share and revenue.

- Identify new market opportunities within the electrical trading industry, focusing on end-users, contractors, wholesalers, and other key stakeholders.


- Oversee lead generation activities, ensuring the team effectively converts leads into high-value opportunities.

- Develop long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

3. Sales Management & Execution:

- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the business development team to drive performance.

- Collaborate with the team to develop proposals, quotations, and presentations tailored to client needs.

- Work closely with senior management to align sales strategies with the company's overall business goals and objectives.

- Oversee negotiations and contract management for high-value or complex deals.

4. Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the electrical trading industry.

- Evaluate the company's product offerings and recommend adjustments or additions based on customer feedback and market demand.

- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and technological advancements to ensure the company's offerings are competitive and compliant.

5. Relationship Management & Key Account Development:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and suppliers.

- Provide high-level technical and commercial support to clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.

- Ensure the timely and efficient resolution of any customer issues or concerns. o Identify potential strategic partnerships that can contribute to business growth.

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking:

- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, business development activities, and market trends to senior management.

- Use CRM systems and other tools to track leads, opportunities, and the progress of business development initiatives.

- Provide insights and recommendations for improving sales processes and increasing efficiency.

7. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

- Work closely with the sales, marketing, product management, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives. o Collaborate with the product team to stay updated on product offerings and ensure proper positioning in the market.

- Assist in developing marketing strategies, campaigns, and promotional materials to support business development efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

- Minimum of [X] years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the electrical, construction, or industrial sectors.


- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a sales team.

- Strong understanding of the electrical trading industry, including products, technologies, and market trends.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies and close high-value deals. - Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other sales tools.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

- Open to travel in field.

Desirable Attributes:
