Digital Content Manager - Industrial
The Digital Content Manager is an integral part of the Industrial Product Management Team and is responsible for leading a Team of Digital Product Data Specialists within and beyond the BU in validating and completing the digital content for the Industrial product portfolio. The Digital content team acts as a service organization for the PM and Engineering teams to provide strong execution on adding missing product content and driving the BU towards agreed TE Digital targets.
Moreover, the Digital Content Manager also takes the lead in reviewing and improving the scope of digital content as well as continuous improvement on the associated processes within the Industrial BU. These responsibilities are highly connected to Engineering, Marketing and Product Management, which requires strong stakeholder management and cross-functional cooperation.
- BA/BS degree in engineering, business, digital commerce or related field
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead a Team of Digital Product Data Specialists from BU and Corporate and enable them to excel by creating a clear strategy, implement a solid operating framework, build bridges with other functions and stakeholders and actively coach and develop the team members (content - competencies - skills).
- Strong focus is on execution - i.e. act as a service organization to PMs, Engineers and Digital Stakeholders to add product content to thousands of Industrial parts and ultimately strive for 100% data completeness.
- To do so, the Digital Content Management team will need to use Engineering skill to understand existing unstructured product data (i.e. catalog, data sheet) and translate this into digital document form and record based data accessible. Eventually CAD skill will be required to produce customer view models and 3D data.
- Collaborate with relevant sub-vertical PLP Leaders, Product Managers, Engineering Teams, IT, Marketing, Product compliance and other stakeholders to gain the necessary understanding to create missing digital content.
- Achievement against collected targets of required digital content availability will be measured and reported out in a tiered accountability process (BU level, Subvertical level, PLP level, etc.) to drive a sustainable high level of digital content of Industrial products in line with the evolving market needs.
- Follow existing tracking mechanisms and drive a regular report-out cadence with the different stakeholders and management to review progress and drive improvements based on the business requirements.
- Utilize data analytics tools like TE's PMINSIGHTS and data warehouse to develop insight and recommendations to product management, marketing and engineering on product selection and promotion across the Industrial product portfolio.
- Interface with Digital Content Management Teams across other Business Units to further develop Digital Content Management and share best practices.
- Collaborate into Industrial BU Marketing for Digital Marketing. Industrial BU marketing owns - syndication-, - publishing- and - translation tools- .
- Be part of a PAC like group of Industrial team, which decides on priorities and targets
