TE Connectivity - Integrated Marketing Communications Role (4-9 yrs)

Overview / Purpose of the Job As a member of the Transportation Solutions Integrated Marketing team, the Integrated Marketing Communications Analyst is responsible for developing, planning and executing world-class marketing content, messaging and communications for integrated marketing campaigns, external communications and PR projects for TE's Automotive business unit and Transportations Solutions segment.

Reporting to the Director, Integrated Marketing - Transportation Solutions, the Communications Analyst is responsible for creating, designing and implementing content that is aligned with business and marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, media engagement, customer engagement and demand using a variety of channels including trade media, public relations, social media and internal communications.

The ideal candidate must be an expert at communicating in written, oral and online forms, and must be self-directed and able to flawlessly execute a high volume of projects that support a variety of different stakeholders. They must be passionate about the work they do, able to adapt quickly to changes in plans, goals or objectives and able to both create strategic plans and execute tactical program elements. They must excel at message development, storytelling and writing with a style that captures the author's voice and intent, and also the audience's attention.

To be successful in this role, the Communications Analyst will need to build successful relationships based on confidence, trust and partnership with global BU & segment marketing teams, subject matter experts, journalists, editors, trade media, external agencies and industry organizations.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities (please enclose organizational charts)

Key Responsibilities: Develop long-form and short-form campaign content, and oversee the implementation of external communications initiatives that engage global trade media, customers and internal audiences using a variety of channels and approaches. Ensure global content is localized by region, on-brand, and tells the story.

- Merge technical solutions with creative content ideas to develop content, messaging and positioning that clearly and compellingly tells the business/company story of our solutions, technologies and unique competencies.

- Develop, edit and maintain content for campaigns, NPIs, web pages, white papers, social media posts, articles, presentations, email communications, email signatures, webinars, advertisements, print, newsletters, events and more.

- Drive external communications, copywriting and PR opportunities through thought leadership, brand awareness and customer engagement within the industry through targeted global and regional trade publications with original content from leadership articles, interviews, podcasts and other related content.

- Plan, write, develop and publish global and regional press releases through external media email outreach tools (Cision), with content localized and translated for key target markets.

- Maintain database of global media contacts, journalists and editors.

- Copywriting integrated marketing content for internal communications channels (SharePoint, internal email distribution, mobile app, Scala screens, and more)

- Partner with the integrated marketing team, BU and Transportation Solutions segment marketing teams to create, implement and measure the impact of communications plans and content as part of various multi-channel campaigns, new product introductions and events.

- Work collaboratively with regional marketing, product marketing, product management, engineering, business development, sales, other subject matter experts, industry organizations, external freelancers and third-party agencies to drive and develop relevant content.

- Excel at message development, storytelling and writing with a style that captures the author's voice and intent, and also the audience's attention.

- Translate business and marketing objectives into an actionable content strategy and external communications plan that delivers measurable results.

- Map customer journeys, incorporate quantitative and qualitative feedback, and work to continuously improve content to enhance the customer experience.

- Manage the full range of content from messaging strategy to content production.

- Support other Transportation Solutions marketing-related special projects as required

- Perform other duties as assigned

3 Requirements for a typical Job Holder / Applicant (not the actual incumbent at TE Connectivity)

Educational Degree Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Marketing, or related experience in project coordination required.

Professional Experience

(years in what processes and function) - Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, English, journalism, or public relations required. MBA preferred.

- At least 5-7 years global external communications experience. Experience in B2B, and electronics or technology as part of a multi-national business preferred

- Fluency in English required.

- Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

- Must have the ability to work with many levels of the organization, addressing reporting needs at each level.

- A track record of developing and executing business-to-business marketing communication plans, content and messaging.

- Knowledgeable on current communications trends and practices

- Experience providing direction/briefs to agencies and managing agency relationships and budgets

- Curious and genuinely interested in learning the business to enhance integrated marketing.

- Strong ability to communicate the value of a wide range of technical products in a complex, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

- Able to work independently, multi-task and perform under pressure. Willing to roll-up sleeves and do the hard work required for flawless execution.

- Able to develop strong relationships with multiple departments in a large, complex matrix organization in a rapidly changing business environment.
