Strategic Account Manager - Event Management Firm (4-8 yrs)
Position: Account Manager
Based in Bangalore
Your mission :
The role of a Strategic Account Manager is NOT to make sales, but to BUILD customers. A strategic account manager is the guardian of the strategic customer relationship, orchestrating the deployment of corporate-wide resources to provide comprehensive products, services, and solutions to the strategic account You will be expected to manage MCI's Global Account(s) based in India or in the Asia Pacific region to continue with the momentum in winning more business through strategic communication and relationship management. You will work towards contributing to the achievement of the financial goals and growth of the account allocated. Overall responsibility for high quality delivery of client events from initial proposal through to final reconciliation.
Main Responsibilities :
- To manage and develop the client relationship at a senior level with a view to maximising the client business opportunity to the full.
- To be responsible for specific Client Account Mapping and strategic client development plans and activities.
- To make and manage client appointments and the preparation of relevant proposals and budgets (working alongside Sales Business Unit).
- To be responsible at a senior level for the delivery of projects on time and within budget - meeting and exceeding client's expectations.
- To monitor progress against targets and MCI profit margins.
- To keenly develop and manage supplier relationships and to actively see opportunities and cross sell MCI product practices.
- To oversee and monitor project progress through their team.
- To monitor and maintain quality and adherence to processes, identifying and contributing to their improvement.
- To provide leadership, direction, and support to the team whilst maintaining motivation and enthusiasm to successfully deliver the project
- At a senior level to be fully responsible for all project budgets from conception through to reconciliation.
- Reporting to the Director - M&E, you will also develop business plans in response to requests for proposals as well as proactively engage with potential clients to understand their needs
