StoryXpress - Content Marketer (0-2 yrs)
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our marketing team and enrich our websites with new blog posts, guides and marketing copy.
Content Writer's responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types and proofreading articles before publication. If you- re familiar with producing online content and have an eye for detail, we- d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.
Ultimately, you'll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers and boost brand awareness.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Having a clear understanding of positioning and messaging
- Research the assigned topics and create drafts for content assets
- Write clear marketing copy to promote our products
- Be involved in the creation of a number of content assets including but not limited to blog posts, eBooks, guides, and case studies.
- Prepare well-structured drafts that are ready for publication
- Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
- Coordinate with editors for input and approval
- Ensure that blog posts are as per the SEO guidelines issued
- Post and promote content on social media
- Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone of the messaging)
Requirements :
Must-haves :
- A great sense of humour
- Exceptional communication and Googling skills
- Excellent English writing and editing skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Decent depth of thought process
- Capable of operating without much supervision while still producing results
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of work
- Motivation to pursue marketing as a career
Desirables :
- Work/internship experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role
- Portfolio of blog posts (not necessarily published)
- Familiarity with what online content management systems are and how they work
- Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Ghost
