Spartek - Manager - Sales/Business Development (3-5 yrs)
Who are we :
Spartek is a pioneer in ceramic tiles in India, revolutionized building products industry and created momentum in product and stock markets for a couple of decades as a brand leader in ceramic tiles and known for its product leadership and marketing since the mid 80's for almost 3 decades. Our Group owns two leading brands in building/home interior product/construction sector, known for our product leadership, reputed for quality and nationwide distribution network for decades. The group now tied up several foreign (US & European) strategic partnerships in current and related areas for projects worth over INR 250 crores. The current growth plans, through the brand strengths should take the turnover to over INR 500 crores within 3 years in first phase.
The group is introducing a number of new products of high end brands and also initiating several new projects with foreign collaboration. During this conceptualization, initial implementation & monitoring stages, these marketing/branding and projects are directly led by the Chairman's office.
The group intends to first commence the selling of a complete range of range of Tableware/Coffee Mugs/lifestyle and home interior Giftware, Building Materials, Home interior products and Construction Products on all India basis
Who are we looking for :
A Self-Driven Individual who can launch & generate profitable business through our new venture backed by major established brands, formulating a strategic plan for the market by understanding the recent industry trends and identifying ways to proactively anticipate and overcome initial challenges seamlessly to attain the desired Organizational vision. For each of the product groups, the group plans to have a different Manager who will study the market, setup sales channels and dealer/retail network and develop profitable business.
Your role :
- Understand the products, market, Meet potential clients, Identify decision makers within the client organization
- Develop sales & business plan with product management, eCommerce and brand positioning strategy for different market segments and increase sales to brand awareness.
- Hire a Team of sales executives and provide initial training and mentorship.
- Develop marketing material, digital marketing Plan approaches and pitches.
- Develop and grow the sales and market by leading & monitoring the team to achieve sales targets
We are looking for the following attributes :
- Entrepreneurial mind-set - Works hands on proactively, takes calculated risks, independent thinking, creative and decision making, fits well into start up culture for results orientation
- Keep abreast of trends in markets & products to always innovatively lead the market
- Passionate about the developing eCommerce sector, Digital evangelist, Start Up growth hacker and other fitting qualities that suite an entrepreneur in making.
- Should be capable of growing into senior level management within the organization
Desired Candidate Background:
- MBA preferred from reputed Institutions or an Engineering Graduate
Experience : 3-5 Years of Experience in FMCG/Consumer Durable industry preferred in Mid-Level Sales/ Marketing and Operational roles. Sales & Marketing experience in related industry is an added advantage.
- Experience in handling multiple product categories/mediums in related industry or prior experience of working on luxury products is a plus.
- Candidate must have good communication, analytical skills, result oriented and capable of growing into senior or general management positions with the experience.
Location : Chennai
Salary will include two components - fixed and variable. The variable component will be based on sales efforts and completion of sales reports every month.
