- Private Label Category Manager with (SPAR) Max Hypermarket Pvt . Ltd.,

Roles and Responsibilities : 

1. Category Strategy & Ownership : 

a) Plan right product assortments for each store at PAN India level to stay relevant for customers.

b) Keep regular track of fill rates, DOH (Days on Hand), availability and Promo stocks.

c) Responsible for delivering Category sales and Margin budgets

d) Constantly benchmark competition on product range and pricing to ensure leadership position on same.

e) Product strategy and development in line with the Profit & Loss brand strategies.

f) Ability to handle more than 100-200 lakhs rupees.

g) Responsible for 30-35 different products.

2. Vendor Relations : 

a) Manage & optimize the use of supplier resources. Harness supplier knowledge to drive category development.

b) Manages strategic supplier relationships at senior-level representatives.

c) Negotiate and close commercial trading with vendors (National & Regional) to meet the category objectives.

d) Conduct joint business planning with vendors and monitor performance on agreed metrics.

e) Manage Commercial Negotiations.

f) TOT Finalization-Vender Agreements Sign-offs.

3. Influence Cross Functions

a) Implement category strategies & tactics with a sense of urgency to deliver the category plan.

b) Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.

c) Work closely with Supply Chain Management/ Merchandising Planning & Replenishment team to optimize value - chain and ensure stock availability

4. People Management : 

a) Develop strong personal competencies to add value to the company.

b) Cultivate a strong sense of urgency, can-do attitude & influence to deliver on the objectives.

c) Develop people skills that enable an open and strong relationship with vendors that deliver the business needs.

d) Facilitate effective cross functional communication & collaboration.

e) Demonstrate high level of integrity and honesty in all business dealings.

Skills Required : 

- Preferred Post Graduation

- Minimum 3-4 years of experience

- Private Labelling, Product Development, Category Management, Omni Channel Sales exposure, Business Development

- Industry preferred - Retail Industry / FMCG Industry

- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

- Profit & Loss statement understanding

- Strong Communication / Negotiation skills,

- Understanding of customer from Buying behavior

- Ability to thrive in a highly complex, dynamic work environment

- Interaction with Internal Cross functional Teams and as well as External Vendors and supplier
