Social Media Analyst - NGO (2-5 yrs)
Responsibilities :
- Craft and execute posts across various social media platforms, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) as directed in support of our social marketing initiatives
- Develop engaging and interesting creative content (posters, photo collages, etc.) for use across platforms
- Help manage blog posts for the website, including developing a schedule of posts on different topics, and supporting by drafting blog posts for eventual authors
- Organize and maintain an editorial calendar, with posts drafted and scheduled for future publication
- Monitor and track performance of posts and web pages, prepare reports, perform analysis (including preparing and documenting actionable insights) and share data as needed
- Help develop social media audiences across the wide range of categories we are looking to engage, such as rural beneficiaries, academics, journalists, and government officials
- Engage social media audiences in conversations
- Perform editorial tasks (cleaning up text files, reviewing web pages for outdated information, etc.) as needed
- Develop reports on activities, review reports, communicate anomalies, and develop action plans as needed based on reports
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate will have :
- A Master's Degree from a leading university
- 2-3 years Internet Marketing experience on leading social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Ability to be creative and engaging in written communication, especially within the restrictions of social media platforms, while strictly adhering to guidelines for tone and voice
- Experience with software tools such as Photoshop, Canva, or equivalent and Wordpress or equivalent
- Ability to draw out trends and actionable insights from large quantities of social media and website data
- Proficiency at staying on the cutting edge of industry best practices, including frequent review of relevant blogs, websites, and social media feeds
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including with tasks such as text editing and data analysis
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and the ability to take the initiative and be self-starting
- Comfort working with all levels of an organization
