SOCH Business Mentors - Business Development Role (4-6 yrs)
At SOCH, Business Development is a role for a professional with the ability to build partnerships with customers for business growth. One who can champion the design and implementation of a way to continuously grow the sales pipeline. One who can take ownership to pursue strategic opportunities which include generating leads, cold calling, forming partnerships, meeting prospects, understanding customer needs, creating client proposals & contracts, creating new markets, building relationships and likewise.
Desired Applicant :
- Preferably 4+ years of experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience in business development for a service industry (preferably business consulting)
- An independent and structured thinker for building and managing relationships
- The key phrase in his professional dictionary that he practices must be - effective listening
- Proven ability to communicate complex delivery approach including the benefits to prospective clients in a powerful yet uncomplicated way
- Strong verbal and written communication skills along with presentation and strong documentation skills
- Leads self and others to create, support and grow the new and existing customer base
- Demonstrates versatility of thinking meaning using different types of thinking - lateral, logical, creative and likewise when involved in problem-solving with the customer. He will be responsible for creating different avenue of revenue streams for SOCH
- Experience in a business transformation/business growth projects would be preferable
- Master's degree from a renowned educational institution would be an added advantage
Key responsibilities :
- Identification of market opportunities to build strategic relationships with new and existing customers for value creation
- Hands-on in designing, developing and implementing marketing and sales strategy for business development
- Building customer relationships by generating leads, cold calling, creating sales pipeline, setting and executing customer meetings, understanding customer needs, co-creating customized services and creating proposals and contracts for value delivery
- Ability to prepare and navigate through the possible outcomes of a business development meeting, understanding when to ask for the business, or at least how to seek an advance to future action
- Ability to have a calm composure and a thinking mind to win a high-stakes situation such as conflicts or even dispute with customer
- Ability to work closely with stakeholders both internal and external to develop and implement recommendations for change execution
- A collaborative approach to work in a team and consistently contributing to other support functions of the organization
