What would a day in the Business Development look like?
The role of Credit Counsellors is to assist various companies to get access to credit. The responsibility will be to guide the companies in the process of acquiring a bank loan rating. The role will entail you to meet various bankers in your city and provide them with information on SMERA and its value proposition as well as generate leads from them to reach out to companies who require credit as well as ratings for the same.
Your responsibilities will be as follows :
- Acquisition of clients
- Scanning the market/area/city in which you are located and generating business leads
- Scanning competitor existing customers to develop rapport and conversion of those customers explaining to them the SMERA value proposition
- Scanning daily newspapers and various mediums to generate leads on a regular basis
- Conversion of companies into SMERA customers and handhold them in the rating process
- Update about the Bankers Terminal and help them to upload their loan requirements on the Bankers Terminal
- Meeting bankers
- Develop relationship with multiple bankers and build awareness of SMERA ratings
- Get leads from the bankers of companies who would require ratings
- Explain the BANKERS Terminal which will provide details of companies which require loans from banks
- Retention and growth from existing customers
- Providing service to existing customers
- Offering ratings on additional loans that would be required by a company
- Renew the relationship with them year on year
What is your ecosystem of dealing with people?
Banks, CAs, Companies, SMERA analysts, SMERA Credit Counsellor team
What do you need to apply for this role?
- Fresher or Experienced Commerce or MBA graduate
- Good communication skills written and spoken
- Willingness to travel across the city and meeting multiple individuals at senior level on a regular basis
- A driving passion to achieve results and chase targets to overachieve the expected numbers

The candidate shall be on TeamLease rolls. He will be responsible for:
- Generating leads from various available sources
- Meeting top decision makers and presenting various offerings of SMERA to prospective and existing corporate clients
- Meeting bankers on a regular basis to share SMERA's insights on economy, industries and financial markets
- Acquisition of new clients through consultative selling and Relationship Management
- Maintaining relationship with industry associations, and government departments
- Meeting revenue targets and adhering to SMERA's policies
- Updating daily activities through SMERA's internal sales workflow
- The candidate should have good command over English and be a go getter. He/she should be self-motivated, disciplined professional who loves meeting people and can take pressure.
