Shuru - Search Engine Optimization Specialist (1-2 yrs)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated SEO Specialist with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our websites and content to improve search engine rankings and increase online visibility. You will work closely with the marketing team to implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, conduct keyword research, and analyze performance metrics to ensure ongoing optimization and growth.
Key Responsibilities :
On-Page SEO Optimization : Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, images, and other elements to improve rankings and user experience.
Keyword Research & Analysis : Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords, analyze search trends, and assist in the creation of optimized content.
Content Strategy : Collaborate with the content team to develop and implement SEO-friendly content strategies that align with search intent and user needs.
SEO Audits : Perform regular site audits and analyze key SEO metrics to identify and fix technical issues affecting site performance.
Link Building : Assist in developing and executing link-building strategies to increase domain authority and improve search rankings.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting : Monitor SEO performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush, and provide regular reports on key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversions.
Competitor Analysis : Conduct competitive analysis to stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies, adjusting SEO efforts accordingly.
Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with developers, designers, and content creators to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all web properties.
Qualifications :
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in SEO, preferably in an agency or in-house digital marketing role.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar.
- Familiarity with keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO, and link-building techniques.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic website structure (knowledge of content management systems like WordPress is a plus).
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights to improve SEO strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with local SEO and eCommerce SEO.
- Knowledge of content marketing and how it integrates with SEO.
- Understanding of website user experience (UX) principles.
