Job Description

- As our SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our on and off page SEO strategy.


- Our website and overall online presence is a pivotal part of the success of our business as we seek to grow our audiences and drive quality traffic to the site.

Role Purpose

- This roles specifically seeks to optimise our website via a mix of technical and on-page SEO to really enhance performance as well as attract our global target audience across the natural resources landscape.


- This position will report to Digital Marketing Director and form part of a digital centre of excellence that owns and activates campaigns and content across our digital landscape to grows targeted audiences to boost engagement with our brand.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

- Plan, develop and implement our SEO strategy

- Potentially working with agency to:

- Regularly perform thorough intent-based keyword research

- Identify key SEO KPIs

- Own regular SEO reporting including but not limited to position tracking, key wins, and organic traffic quality and impact.

- Work with the wider marketing team to understand personas and help drive quality traffic via our organic search initiatives

- Support technical SEO improvements via regular website audits/healthchecks to identify and resolve any problems in collaboration with our web owner and developers

- Work closely with our paid search team to share keyword insights and complement the paid strategy

- Work closely with our content team to provide SEO suggestions including evergreen content and keyword focus

- Stay up to date with the latest SEO and digital marketing latest trends and best practices

- Deliver SEO knowledge shares/training with wider marketing teams to support digital upskilling

About You and How You Can Excel in this Role

To be successful in this role you'll have previous experience in a similar position as an SEO specialist covering technical, on-page and off-page elements whilst also having a broad understanding of all areas of digital marketing, martech and marketing trends. It will be beneficial if you have some knowledge of the natural resources, energy & commodity markets.

You will have:

- Substantial proven experience of hands-on SEO

- Experience in running multiple projects at once

- Hands-on experience with SEO platforms such as SEMRush, AHrefs, or Moz

- Experience with Google Analytics

- Experience of working within a B2B environment

- Experience of working with and managing agencies

- Excellent communication and writing skills in English

- Highly evolved interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence and engage peers, build relationships and train/upskill teams.

- Commercial mindset with a passion for all things digital

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively & drive innovation

- A Bachelor's degree, ideally in Marketing, Digital Marketing or relevant field, or equivalent professional experience

- Proficiency in MS Office and Digital marketing and reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Hubspot.


- Any experience in tools such as EPI server, Pardot, Blueconic, VWO is desired but not essential)

- Digital mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences

- Project management skills and attention to detail

- Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter and simplify whilst maintaining nuance and essence of the key messages.
