Senior Sales Engineer
Basic Qualifications
- Candidates are chosen mainly for their ability to learn and improve rather than basic educational qualification
- Should- ve worked previously in the field of Sales and Marketing
- Experience in the field of Lubricants is preferred
- Flexibility when it comes to years of experience
- Ability to sell is given more importance than the years of experience
- Should be able to use a laptop, Microsoft office, and draft emails
- Should be willing to keep learning as new product lines are introduced
- Experience in using Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM) is preferred
- Should be open to traveling to other states as necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region
- Travelling to visit potential clients
- Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements
- Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
- Negotiating tender and contract terms
- Conduct Cost- Benefit Analysis
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions
- Offering after-sales support services
- Administering client accounts
- Preparing Customer visit reports on a day to day basis on CRM
- Should provide weekly visit plan on a weekly basis
- Should submit monthly development and planning monthly
- Meeting regular sales targets
- Recording and maintaining client contact data
- Co-ordinating sales projects
- Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
- Solving client problems
- Should ensure that customers provide payment on a timely manner
