Senior Proofreader (3-9 yrs)
Role & Responsibilities
Proofreading and Editing:
- Ensure that all content is free from typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, and inconsistencies.
- Review and edit content for clarity, coherence, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Quality Assurance:
- Perform pre-production quality checks to ensure that all materials are ready for release.
- Check typography and layout consistency across documents.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with writers, designers, and project managers to ensure content meets project specifications.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to improve content quality.
Process Improvement:
- Develop and refine proofreading processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
Ideal Candidate
Experience:
- 3-5 years (for Jr. Role) or 6-9 years (for Sr. Role) of experience in proofreading, with a focus on pre-production quality checks and typography.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Familiarity with proofreading marks and editorial standards.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
