Senior Merchandiser - Retail (8-15 yrs)
We are hiring senior merchandiser for one of our client in Bangalore
Position : Senior Merchandiser
Male Only
Experience: 8 to 10 years in the retail industry preferably from Apparels, Buying House etc.
Age: Between 25 to 35
Languages: English, Kannada and Hindi is a must. Candidate with proficiency in more languages is preferred.
Other requirements:
a) The incumbent should be trustworthy with impeccable integrity, sound work ethics, dynamic, ample commercial awareness and with excellent people communication skills.
b) Should have good references
c) Need to be staying at the 5 km radius of Jayanagar
d) Should be ready to work in a start-up environment
e) Should be ready to multitask
f) Should commit to a minimum of 3 years
Job Description
a) Work closely with in-house buyers, designers and other merchandisers.
b) Meet with suppliers, distributors, vendors, designers etc.
c) Creating and handling all purchase orders end to end
d) Must independently follow up with all orders from the company to vendors
e) Negotiating quantities and delivery time-scales
f) Supervising and training junior staff
g) Managing levels and distribution of stock
h) Handling supply/production problems as they arise.
i) Coordinating with the accounts team for various transactions
j) Should be resourceful and should know sources in Bangalore for trims, fabrics etc.
k) Should have contacts with tailors, pattern makers etc.
