Senior Manager - Sales - eCommerce (5-8 yrs)

Position Overview:

- The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, managing key accounts, and developing strategies to expand our market presence.

- This role involves a mix of strategic planning, team leadership, and direct sales activities.

- You will work closely with senior leadership to define sales objectives and ensure their execution to meet and exceed targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company goals and growth targets.

- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales objectives.

- Monitor sales performance, analyze market trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and identify new market opportunities.

- Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, both in existing markets and in untapped regions.

Account Management & Customer Relationship:

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention by providing exceptional service and addressing client concerns.

- Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, handling negotiations, renewals, and up-selling opportunities.

- Track client feedback and use insights to enhance products, services, and customer experience.

Team Development & Performance Management:

- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members.

- Provide coaching and support to sales representatives to improve individual performance.

- Conduct performance evaluations and help team members set career development goals.

- Foster a high-performance, results-oriented team culture focused on collaboration, achievement, and continuous improvement.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting:

- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to senior management.

- Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

- Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track sales activities, and ensure data accuracy.

- Monitor sales KPIs, and implement corrective actions when targets are not being met.

Business Development & Networking:

- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and generate new business leads.

- Develop partnerships with other businesses and organizations to expand market reach.

- Stay updated on industry developments and competitors to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in sales management

- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a leadership role.

- Experience in managing a sales team and driving performance.

- Strong knowledge of CRM tools and sales management software.

- Familiarity with sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting metrics.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, strategies, and techniques.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Knowledge of digital sales tools (e.g., CRM platforms, marketing automation).

- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

Soft Skills:

- Strong leadership and people management abilities.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.

- High degree of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
