Senior Manager/Head Category Development - Consumer Durable Company (2-9 yrs)
Planning:
- Category planning (Targets, budgets, forecasts, capacity requirement, inventory etc.)
- Drive achievement of plans and review progress through Category reviews (Sales, Marketing and Product)
Consumer Marketing:
- Design effective and innovative integrated marketing campaigns across mediums (TV, Digital, Mobile, Print and Radio) working with Corporate Marketing team
- Brand positioning: Work with media team to explore innovative and cost effective communication platforms (including digital) to plan effective media strategy; coordinate with external agency as required
User Activation:
- Monitor and execute on-ground activation as part of marketing campaigns
- Customer centricity: Design and implementation of user-applicator/influencer engagement programs (e.g. FCC)
- Monitor and generate database of applicators/users essential to the product category
Product Management & Pricing:
- Consult with product head to devise product specifications such as design, color, and packaging and resolve any issues
- Ensure resolution of customer/user issues through technical services
- Keep up-to-date with trends in domestic and international and key forums for building innovation funnel - develop, execute and monitor business plans for new product development within the category
- Design and oversee periodic internal product trainings of field marketing and sales teams
- Develop pricing strategy for brands within the category (to be updated regularly
- Margin management
Insighting :
- Monitor competition on various aspects such as new offering, pricing, consumer offer, ATL & BTL activities; course-correct strategy as required to win against competition
- Initiate research for concept testing, post launch, creative recall and product efficacy dipsticks for insight
mining to develop consumer segment-specific initiatives; insights to be collected across stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Analytical, Multitasking, good in communication
- Strategic thought process, strong ability to execute strategies on ground
- Ability to convey complex ideas effectively and efficiently
- Strong understanding and demonstrated aptitude in marketing management principles.
