Senior Manager/General Manager- Retail Expansion - Business Development - Apparel (9-12 yrs)
- 9 to 12 years of experience within the retail field (stores & mall)
- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the retail apparel industry or Real Estate.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or master's degree
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Market Research:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential mall developments and properties suitable for retail apparel stores.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to make informed decisions.
2. Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with mall developers, property owners, and real estate consultants.
- Network within the industry to identify new business opportunities.
3. Business Strategy:
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve growth targets and expand the retail apparel brand's presence.
- Evaluate the feasibility of potential locations and provide data-driven recommendations.
4. Property Negotiation:
- Negotiate favorable lease terms, rental rates, and incentives with property owners and developers.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements are met during negotiations.
5. Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to execute expansion plans successfully.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to align business goals.
6. Risk Assessment:
- Assess potential risks associated with property acquisitions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on zoning laws, building codes, and other regulatory requirements.
7. Budget Management:
- Manage budgets related to business development activities, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI.
8. Industry Knowledge:
- Stay informed about industry trends, real estate developments, and emerging opportunities in the retail apparel sector.
