Senior Manager/DGM - Business Development & Sales - Mining Business (8-16 yrs)
Organization : MNC
Purpose of Position :
To develop, maintain and manage new and existing business opportunities for Organization's Mining product portfolio within the regional mining industry. To achieve sales targets set on a quarterly and annual basis. To maintain and build strategic relationships with existing and potential customers and industry contacts
Major Areas of Responsibility :
- Develop and implement business plans and strategies to continue growth for Organization's mining business in the designated region
- Manage existing and new accounts ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through identifying areas in which new value can be added to the clients as well as rectifying issues promptly
- Develop strategic relationships with customers, dealers and industry contacts
- Ensure sales forecasts and budgets are achieved
- Identify, foster and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and industry contacts supporting the attainment of the goals of the business
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the region and, in particular, customer needs and requirements
- Prepare periodic sales reports as required, continuously build pipeline
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and demonstrations
- Prepare and deliver quotations and proposals
- Prepare documentation and submissions for Tenders, Expressions of Interest and Requests For Quotation / Information
- Liaise with Finance department for management of receivables
- Represent the business in industry events and tradeshows and collaborate with the Marketing and Product Management team to prepare for such events
- Compliance with Organization's Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participation in audits and compliance with instructions given in respect to the health and safety of himself / herself and the safety of others
- Keep himself updated on product developments / training
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Knowledge & Experience Required :
- Should hold an Engineering degree BE / B. Tech
- Good to have Masters in the Technical or Business domain (MBA / M.Tech / M.S)
- Should have 8+ years of work experience (BD & Sales)
- At least 4+ years BD / Sales experience in the Mining segment
- Experience in key account management, Account Qualification and Risk Management
- Excellent strategic, analytical and conceptual skills
- Bid Preparation and Management
- Sound understanding of commercial activity and profitability
- Should be comfortable with frequent travel for business purposes
- Understanding of Salesforce will be an added advantage
