Sr Executive / Manager - SEO @ Gurgaon, India

Our client is a leader in UPSC Online along with growing offline presence in 3 cities and soon expanding to 6 cities. They are known as a premium player in a higher order thinking segment for EdTech. Our client's parent group is India's leading EdTech group with presence across multiple product categories and is backed by very successful Global tech companies. They need to fill the following position asap.

Position : Sr Executive / Manager - SEO

Education : UG/ Engg/ MBA

Experience : 2-5 years in SEO function, preferably in EdTech domain

Location : Gurgaon

Compensation : Competitive and commensurate with candidate caliber and experience

Role Responsibilities and Desired Profile :

- Candidate will perform both on-page and off-page activities across company's website and ensure top rank in all relevant keyword categories.

- Experience in any B2C consumer internet platform is fine while EdTech experience will be a plus.

- We are looking for an experienced, data driven, and detail-oriented SEO Manager. The primary focus of t his role will be to develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with our business goals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure our website and content are optimised for search engines, leading to increased organic traffic.

- You will be responsible for creating and executing an SEO plan for the assigned categories to maximise traffic from the organic channel. Producing and managing SEO-optimised content for landing pages alongside SEO and content marketing teams.

- Conducting keyword research with SEO tools to plan & prioritise content calendar. Implementing the wider SEO strategy for the company to drive organic traffic. Understanding our potential new customers, and helping to target their wants, needs, and interests through our content. Identifying and establishing valuable link-building opportunities and partnerships to boost our domain authority and search engine rankings.

- Defining clear SEO Goals, KPIs, and timelines. Create and maintain SEO performance dashboards to provide visibility on Goals & KPIs. Proofreading the content and making sure our content follows SEO, legal, and brand guidelines. Review and analyse analytics and site traffic to gauge positive and negative changes. Conduct SEO audits, collect and analyse data, identify trends and insights on search engine algorithms.

- Collaborate with the Content writing team for keyword research and provide instructions on the usage of keywords in the content.

- Suggest recommendations to optimise the content and define the structure of different types of content. Research, analyse, and benchmark against competitor performance. Managing SEO Executives and Interns.

- Must have proven 2-5 years of experience in website/web page SEO optimization for Google search.

- Fluency in English. Hands-on experience with driving SEO initiatives for large websites. Expert in all areas of SEO including strong technical skills (HTML, site architecture, and content management systems).

- Understanding of search engine ranking factors, algorithms, site architectures, and strategies.

- Ability to anticipate or quickly react to the ever-changing landscape of search algorithms by staying on top of current search engine news, trends, practices, and social triggers.

- Strong analytical skills with understanding of web analytics and the ability to derive meaningful insights for the creation of organic search strategies.

- Have solid understanding of industry tools such as Search Console, Sistrix, Ahrefs, SEMRush and Screaming Frog. Familiarity with various Google APIs like Google Search Console API, GA4 API.

Desirable to have experience with News SEO, Google Publisher Center, or Edtech. Strong understanding and experience of vernacular SEO. Familiarity with SQL, Python or Bigquery. AMP/PWA experience is a big plus.
