Senior Director- Business Development - BFSI (15-25 yrs)
Job Description :
Senior Director - Business Development (Banks), position is responsible to ensure revenue from existing and New Clients in the various lines of Business such as Career Advancement Program (CAP), New Employee Onboarding Programs (NEO), National Sales Academy (NSA) etc. The position will develop strategies to position UNext Manipal Academy of Banking to various Banking clients.
Key Accountabilities, Performance Areas and Authorities :
1. Financial Management :
- Manage the financial aspects of client accounts, including budgets, forecasts, and revenue targets.
- Track and report on key financial metrics.
- Responsible for P&L
- Develop Pricing strategies to ensure business profitability
2. Client Relationship Management :
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients.
- Understand clients' business needs and objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization
- Positioning to Existing and Potential clients in the Banking sector
3. Account Strategy :
- Will be responsible for Hunting & Farming of the clients.
- Create and implement account strategies that align with both client goals and the organization's objectives.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to clients
4. Strategic Planning :
- Develop and implementing the sales strategy for the Banking vertical. Identifying potential new opportunities, analyzing trends and creating sales plans to increase revenue
- Collaborate with clients to develop and refine strategic plans.
- Ensure that the organization's products or services align with the client's strategic vision
5. Client Satisfaction :
- Monitor and assess client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Work to exceed client expectations and ensure their success.
6. Team Handling & Collaboration :
- This profile will be responsible for team handling.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and operations to deliver solutions that meet client needs.
- Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams working on client projects.
7. Contract Management :
- Oversee the negotiation and renewal of contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and obligations.
8. Market Research :
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
- Use market insights to develop strategies that benefit clients
- Developing pipeline of potential clients
- Developing strong relationships with existing clients. Obtaining continuous feedback and address issues, by coordinating with
- Academics and Infra team, to ensure client and learners are satisfied
9. People management :
- Hiring, training, nurturing and building the sales team
- Setting sales team/individual targets basis trends/business cycles and monitoring performance.
- Managing and Motivating sales team to achieve set targets. Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales team. Develop team capabilities, provide constructive feedback and implement corrective actions.
Expertise and Qualifications :
- Revenue and EBDITA achievement
- Achieving learner numbers and business profitability.
- Adding New Clients and revenue streams
- Client satisfaction expressed through increased numbers of student enrolment
Education and Experience :
- Post Graduation from a reputable University is Mandatory
- Overall of 15+ years of professional experience in Business development and B2B Sales
- Credible career showing growth in revenue by Managing a Team of Sales Professionals

- Leadership teams & HR/L&D team of Client Organisations
- Talent Acquisition teams, Business Heads and Leadership teams of Client Organisations
- Industry Practitioners, Thought Leaders, Members of Governance bodies.
